Its been a while since I checked in! Wow!
I guess life just got INSANE the past few months. I went hard on MAX:30 for about 2 weeks until all hell broke loose and I ended up getting a new job, finishing out the school year as a Pre-k mom and cheer coach and a whole mess of other things.
I've been working on my Candida and parasites, its been going amazingly well. If and when I do cheat, I get so incredibly sick. Which sucks but at the same time it shows me that my body doesn't want that stuff- it WANTS the stuff that fuels me.
I finished one round of the 21 Day Fix but didn't follow the meal plan quite as well as I should. However, I still lost a few inches around my mid section and can now fit into NON plus size jeans! I've also started the 21 Day Fix Extreme and am one week into it. I felt like I needed something a little extra challenging. I wasn't challenging myself enough and I wasn't pushing as hard as I should have. In one week, Ive upped my weights from 3s and 5s to 5s and 8s. I finish the WHOLE 30 min and go as hard as I can, which usually results in me dripping with sweat at the end! And I FEEL amazing!
Ive also started ridding my bike again, I do about 2-4 miles a few times a week. Which I will admit is way more fun now that I have the Pokémon Go app! ((yes, I am almost 27 BUT Pokémon was like, THE game when I was younger so... really Im just reliving my childhood right??))
All in all things have been going really well. Im also a lot easier on myself in some areas and a lot harder on myself in some. I relish the small victories, the pants fitting a little looser, that extra rep Im able to do, upping my weights 2 pounds. Cause its not JUST 2 pounds, its 2 pounds more than I could do before!
And when I say Im harder on myself, I mean that I don't allow myself to give into BS excuses. I hurt my shoulder recently and instead of saying "just make today a rest day and skip the workout" I said "do as much as you can, go slow, if its too much then modify but don't you DARE give in."
Its the small victories. Its knowing that my biggest competition is ME and its blowing my SELF out of the water with the progress Im making. Don't compare yourself to those around you, compare yourself to YOU.
